    The Chateau , we understand , was built in the early to mid 19th. Century by a Mon. Salingre. The construction is of stoneand it has ground floor and two upper floors. There is a sweeping balustrade to the front stone steps rising on either side up to the first floor. In front of the house is a large swimming pool, and to the right the entrance drive which is bordered with trees.It is sighted half way up a steep hill and faces due east looking over the outskirts of Coutras across to the distant hills.

    Although Coutras is but a mile away it is completely secluded.The ground in front drops away just beyond the pool, and rises almost sheer behind the property ensuring complete privacy.There are outbuildings and a smalll maison du gardien to the side of the main house.In all the propertycomprises 4.5 hectares( approx 11acres ). Most has been allowed to grow wild, but will be brought under control eventually. The entrance is via iron gates and a winding drive some 100m. Long.
