    Le Magnolia
    Chateau la Gontrie is a wine producing chateau , owned by Jean-Louis Rives and his Australian wife, Nola.

    The sixteen hectare vineyard is situated on a gentle slope exposed to the south, only fifteen minutes drive from Bordeaux.

    The Chateau was once a coach's inn where horses were changed and passengers lodged overnight on their way to Bordeaux. Looking onto a half hectare park that merges into the vines, summer evenings can be spent eating under the stars, enjoying the wines of the region. There is a shared pool of 6 x12 meters. The ground floor has a lounge, dining room, bathroom with a separate toilet and a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate toilet. A cot is also available. Babysitting can be provided at a reasonable charge per hour. Volley ball, badminton, table tennis, French bowls and bicycles are available free of charge.
