    Location

    Belpech is situated 5kms. South West from St Andre de Najac which is on the road between Villefranche de Rouergue and Laguepie. It is in the middle of a small hamlet of 14 houses on a plateau approx 300 meters above the gorge of the River Aveyron. The view to the West, from the terrace of the swimming pool , is over field towards the wooded slopes of the river. The castle is visible to the North. The nearest towns are Najac ( 9km ) and Cordes (15km ) both of which are bastide towns with a wealth of medieval buildings set on the sides of a hill and crowned with a castle. During the summer they are the haunt of artist and various craftsmen. As a consequence there are exhibitions, concerts and fetes throughout the summer. Finally the Sunday market in St. Antonin Nobel Val must not be missed.
